Life teaches, love reveals
Authenticity is the courage to be yourself
I think life really comes down to either follow your heart or live in fear. Your heart speaks through your feelings while your fear shouts through others’ feelings and judgements.
Yes, yes it is. I wanted to talk about this with you guys because I know there will be so many people going through what my boldest friends and I (plus millions of people) have all gone through during years …self-doubts and the fear of not being good enough.
“If you trade your authenticity for safety, you may experience the following: anxiety, depression, eating disorders, addiction, rage, blame, resentment, and inexplicable grief.”
- Brené Brown:
The last few years have been an intense period of self-exploration and discovery for me, during which I have prioritised change and reflection on my life whilst discovering who I am again. Ultimately, following your heart will undoubtedly change your whole life. Be bold enough to listen to your heart. Be bold enough to follow the path of what you were meant for. Be bold enough to let your vulnerability and authenticity shine and inspire others. Be bold enough to be a muse for everyone else. Nobody has to live by the subtle lies of televisions, social medias and the internet, or believe the truth this world holds out to us. By all means, I talk about standards and stereotypes. You people should bring to your lives what’s hiding in your hearts. No matter a person’s age, experience, or previous patterns, I want you to think about your whys and hows in order to orchestrate your beliefs to forever change your life and relationships.
Being open on who you are, what you want, being honest and vulnerable about how you feel will inspire a lot of people. Be so completely yourself that everyone else around you feels safe being themselves too.
Be you.
Do you.
For you.
Do the thing you have been dreaming of for years. Do the things you can’t go a day without thinking about. Do the things your heart begs you to do and your head aches for. A legit rule I learned throughout my self-exploration and that I want to share with you is: If it won’t matter in 5 years, don’t even spend more than 5 minutes worrying about it. Although it might seem like a hard job and an unpleasant task to settle your goals down and built on your confidence, but no worries because I got you !
Hereafter are 3 articles to read and maybe follow up for a great way to go. These pieces will definitely help center your ideas and plan your goals properly, accepting and searching for authenticity and improving your confidence..
How to take action on your goals
Furthermore, if you don’t learn to love being yourself, will you ever really know if you’re choosing someone out of love or expectations? Learning to be yourself takes time, but ultimately is so worth the investment for your own personal growth. It strengthens your understanding of yourself and your relationship with yourself and others around. Also it will prevent you from conflicts in all sort of matters. Finally your mind and environment will become healthier too. Being comfortable in your business, in your environment, in your body and in your mind, makes you more certain of yourself and makes you take better care of yourself emotionally and physically. If you feel good, you will think good. Obviously growing your business or working for someone, either case, it will provide the strength and courage you need to improve your work, discipline, confidence, decisions making. it can only beneficate you for the best outcomes and it will make a difference on a daily basis.
Even more so, it takes the strain off of your relationships (with clients, colleagues or businesses too). In the grand scheme of your life, spending a little time alone and learning to love your own company, work, body and soul is so worth it. Because one day when love comes around and you have someone to share your moments with, it will feel much more special being entirely yourself and relaxed.
Being authentic to who you are and who you want to be is actually a beautiful gift from you to a better version of you. Be vulnerable enough to accept your flaws and be confident enough to cherish your strengths. You can be hurting today and wondering what tomorrow will bring out, but also, you can be healing and be happy if you choose you. Not knowing is clearly scary and it makes you feel uncertain – true. But also, choosing you for you is the best way to discover the answer. Self-exploring, accepting, and working on your flaws and challenges will only create the best version of yourself that you cannot wait to fall in love with. This following quote which has been translated for me is from a german author and I think it resumes quite well the idea :
When a tree is cut down and reveals its naked death-wound to the sun, one can read its whole history in the luminous, inscribed disk of its trunk: in the rings of its years, its scars, all the struggle, all the suffering, all the sickness, all the happiness and prosperity stand truly written, the narrow years and the luxurious years, the attacks withstood, the storms endured. And every young farm boy knows that the hardest and noblest wood has the narrowest rings, that high on the mountains and in continuing danger the most indestructible, the strongest, the ideal trees grow.
― Hermann Hesse ( Bäume. Betrachtungen und Gedichte, 1952)
Honestly and finally, sometimes it’s better not to question your next step too much in regard to what people will think and go ahead and do it, simply because it will heal your soul. Instead, experience all of the emotions change may bring. Take a leap of faith with yourself.
That is how. That is how change is beautiful, authenticity is powerful and vulnerability is fierce and bold.
- With all my love, B

So true. Personally the more I grow up the more I discover and « assume » certain aspects of my own personality, some aspects that are finally part of my DNA.
We better ACCEPT who we really are and be authentic. Otherwise it will show 😉
As you said it takes a lots of courage to work on ourselves, and that starts by a serious introspection.
What a crazy adventure ..
