The art of making yourself a priority

“Ask, believe, receive and see yourself grow as you go”

The world isn’t withholding your future from you. The universe doesn’t delay. There are no purgatories in life, no waiting periods, no delay, no time to wait for some rescue. There is no eureka moment waiting on the sidelines or a plan B organized for you in case you’re not elected. You can take all the time you need. That is true, but you cannot and won’t ever pass the exit, because whether you like it or not, you’re mapping the path of your own journey by the choices you make. You cannot miss the ride, you’re driving the car! There is no “right time,” there is just time, and what we do with it.

“If you wanted to leave today, you could, if you wanted to start today, you could and If you wanted to move today and start over somewhere else, you could also. Anything is possible, and everything will be as soon as you make a choice and assume your responsibility to reach it.”

You must stop thinking within the time frame that you’ve constructed in your head, pieced together by fears, expectations, by the slow realizations that your life is rapidly ascending and changing for some dark grey portrait, and you might not be ready for how fast it all turns around. Just erase the brackets you imposed in your script and try reading the story without it. You’ll see, it’s much more fluid and convenient. You must start realizing that the universe is not making you wait, you are making yourself wait until you feel ready to step forward. Make it your intention to look at everything around you and say “I can buy that, I want that, I am that” Speak things into existence and manifest your truth, your dreams, your goals and your values.

The moment you ask for better, you begin to receive better.

Ask for it, ask for healing, ask for growing, ask for peace, ask for love, for wisdom and for guidance. Ask for things you want, ask yourself to be the person who chases those things you want and dream for. Be positive and grateful as everything you ask for is making its way up to you. If you want it and you can work for it, you’ll have it. Because there is actually only the space between realizing where you’re meant to be and feel you’re ready to go there. You don’t need to know exactly and perfectly what is happening or mostly how it is going to happen, but there is always this moment where you phase out of denial, release the anchors, the attachments, the false or wrong beliefs. This is not punishment for being unfinished, it’s a sacred part of your journey.

It is no issue nor an “I am stuck situation”. You are simply just becoming the person who can finally take the leap. The person you’ll be proud of and walk around with a head straight and high. Your life is a self-paced journey. It’s a one-way ticket adventure. It’s an eternal poem draft mixed with a first try recipe. You are where you are because you feel it’s where you need to be. No one forced you, no one asked you to and by all means, understand the metaphoric image here!

This realization, about who you are and where you want to go and to be from now one shouldn’t be an impulse to pressure yourself into learning faster, self-developing at your maximum possible speed. The point isn’t just that you wake up and realize you are the only person delaying the progress of your dreams, but that you realize there’s a really important reason why. It’s because you want to make sure that the right version of yourself shows up to the day you meet your soulmate, board the flight, scale the business, and write the book.

You need to become the person who can handle the new life you asked for. The person you imagined all along, saving reels and Instagram posts for inspiration. The reason why you are keeping yourself where you’re at is that there’s more you need to release, to process, to detach from. There are beliefs about yourself you need to rectify, small aspects of your personality you need to slowly shift into alignment with your fundamental values and morals. There are elements of your life as it exists that need to be developed, others that need to be transformed, and others that need to be let go of.

I have read or heard at some point in life the following sentence and it makes so much sense:  “procrastination means that you are about to do something big”.

So here is what I am telling you: you are not in a waiting period, you are in a prep period. The universe didn’t put you there, you put yourself there all alone. You are not special, you are not different in the oddness and uniqueness of every single hustler right there fighting for the greater good. Because one day, it will be the day. It will be the day to begin, to move, to leap with arms wide open. It is coming, it is on the horizon, and it’s approaching far more rapidly than you might think. It is going to be the day you meet your person, you get interviewed for your dream job, you get certified and checked on Instagram, you’ll sign your first check or your first book, announce your first pregnancy, etc, etc. Your life will be a series of inhales and exhales, and I don’t mean how your body consumes oxygen and expresses carbon. I mean that becoming yourself is a series of building and undoing, trying and failing, showing up, and sometimes, turning away. Your life is a series of choices, decisions, and you better start making those ASAP.

Nobody was meant for one path. We are not here to be just one person, nor a series of ourselves piled up upon one another, fighting for relevance and dominance and space. We all have pasts and all made choices already. not always good ones, but no one is innocent though. We all get a fresh start every day to be a better person, the difference is what you make with this new canvas you get.
